Etrian Odyssey-style Persona Q comes to 3DS ⊟

Amongst a slew of Persona announcements coming out of Japan this morning, Atlus revealed it’s finally bringing the cult RPG series to 3DS (remember that E3 2010 tease?), but no in a way anyone expected.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, will be an Etrian Odyssey-style dungeon crawler starring characters from the series’ third and fourth game. Those characters will be presented in chibi form, 

This spin-off releases in Japan next June — watch a trailer for it here. Don’t worry, Atlus revealed Persona 5 for PlayStation 3, too (winter 2014 in Japan).

Deep Fear does some things right and some things wrong in comparison to RE, and while it’s ultimately less scary than its predecessor it’s great to have a Survival Horror game exclusive to the Saturn.

Here’s an Ankle-Rocker fun fact: Water in video games scares the ever living crap out of me. Super Mario 64, Dry Dry Docks…. terrifying. And I love the fear it induces in me. Another excellent photoset here!
